"The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace"

Music composed by Karl Jenkins for orchestra, choir and soloists - the title comes from a 15th century French poem, the whole is a powerful interfaith musical statement about war and peace, for peace. With Hull Choral Union and City of Hull Youth Symphony Orchestra, conductor Sam Gardner; tickets from Hull City Hall Box Office or at the door. It includes "lyrics from classic poets, biblical verses, and traditional mass, as well as from Muslim, Hindu and Japanese sources".
